A managing director at a Major Investment Firm in Santa Barbara, California, since 1990 Brett Grimes has garnered substantial experience in executive capacities at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and UBS. In 2015 and 2016, he was named to Barron’s magazine’s list of the top 100 financial advisors in California. In addition to his executive role, Brett Grimes operates as a partner in the firm’s Venture Strategies Group.

A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, with a BA in economics, Mr. Grimes maintains involvement in Santa Barbara’s business and philanthropic communities. He is a supporter of the Dream Foundation, which reaches out to adults with a terminal illness to provide memorable experiences that they and their families can cherish. He also supports organizations such as Storyteller Children’s Center, a therapeutic preschool for at-risk children, CALM (Child Abuse Listening Mediation), which aims to prevent and treat abuse through sensitive and culturally competent programs, and Transition House, which offers services to families struggling with poverty and homelessness.

Mr. Grimes has also served as a member of Southern California Grantmakers, a collective of individuals and organizations committed to philanthropy, and he is a past member of the board of directors for the Los Angeles-based Dream Center.
